Buffelspoort ATKV Road bike race

 

One of Ramatlabama Miga Cycling club Coaches Participated in the Buffelstrap Road cycle classic Race that was held on 30 July 2022 out side Rustenburg. he Partnered with Great Mafikeng Cyclists and formed a team of 9 Members that will represent Great Mafikeng Cyclist Team.Moshawane (kids) Cycling Club was also there to parcitipate in fun ride race with other Children

The Great Mafikeng Cyclist Management where present on the day and they are the one who organized Transport,Accomodation and registration for the Race .They organized a special trailer that holds 10 bikes,some of the kids parents went with us there for supports as  usual. But as an individual there was a certain amount that we paid for everything since well Great Mafikeng has no Money at the Moment, as it is a Nonprofit Company, No income and no sponsor's for the Race but we wish that they get a sponsor so that they can help Parents and kids for Cycling trips, at least if they can pay full amount for participants or Half price it will make a difference.

The trip went well  From Mafikeng to Buffelspoort, we left Mafikeng around 19h00 and arrived at our accommodation around  22h00.We rested and slept then woke up at 03h00 because we had to bath and travel 46km to our destination. We woke up bathed and had breakfast before we hit the road, at Buffelspoort we arrived around 06h00 Then we offload bikes from the trailer, check if everything is in order, around 07h30 we went to the tracks to get ready for the race as the race started at 07h35. for people participating on 114km and at 07h45 race for 58km started and so on 

We had winners, the first one is Samkelo Sibanyoni on 114km standing on 2nd position under 23 Category, on the right Side is his Friend Tshepo Leshomo

 Onalenna Kalane 1st postion on 58 km under 17 category 

and Mpho Makokoe on 3rd position 

then  boys under 14 Lemonka 1st position,

Under 9 Bokang 1st position on 500 meters

The finishing line was like this, but we didn't capture everything and we did not have a proper video camera so we used cellphones

I can say everything went well besides that we did not have all racing requirements, which disqualifies our Riders overs 17 years of Age, Each rider must have a Race tec Chip, which helps to record times in the score boards, so in our riders only 1 who is under 17 was qualified, we learned that Race tech chips are very important and we have to purchase one for each rider. We need a camera man to capture the Race finishing point, i believe we will do better and more on the next Race , thank you for the support
